COLA is a Google-based school. All students must have a Chromebook and either headphones or earbuds (no bluetooth). If families are unable to provide their child with a Chromebook, one can be rented from COLA for a nominal monthly fee. Damage to school-owned Chromebooks will result in an additional fee for repair or replacement.

Every student is assigned a school managed Google account upon registration. While on campus, students are only permitted to use their school account, and all internet use is filtered and monitored. Email access is restricted by grade level and internet responsibility.

Google Classroom is our primary online learning management platform, with other Google applications and extensions added as needed. Technology lessons have been incorporated into our curriculum with the goal of ensuring that each student is competent and confident with his/her personal device, is able to navigate Google Apps for Education at a grade appropriate level, and uses internet safety practices.
